Date/Time
11/1/2017
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Eastern
Event Description
It is critical for academic library leaders to understand and anticipate changing budget models and funding formulas on their campuses. To succeed in the future, most important development or advancement work you do each year should be with stakeholders like students, faculty, and leadership. Join John Chrastka, Executive Director of the political action committee EveryLibrary to learn practical tips and techniques for building new or deeper coalition for the library on campus. In this session, academic library leaders will be exposed to advocacy tools that public libraries employ during annual budget meetings and ballot initiatives, and learn practical, relevant ways to engage populations on campus for the library. This webinar is Part II of the "Political Librarian" series, featuring Dr. Scott Walter from DePaul University.

Presenter:

He is a former President and member of the Board of Trustees for the Berwyn (Ill.)
