Community Event Family Friendly Event
The series kicks off with a bang on Monday, July 4 with two bands performing for a special Independence Day celebration, followed by the Sinclair Inlet Fireworks Show. Jessica Lynne and the Cousins will go on at 5:30 for two hours followed by Massy Ferguson at 8pm and will play through until 10:00 p.m. The fireworks will follow at 10:30 p.m.
The free concert series is made possible by a partnership of the Port of Bremerton, City of Bremerton and the Downtown Bremerton Association who all worked collaboratively to invest in and grow the series.
The concerts are from 5 to 8 p.m. (with the exception of July 4 when the music will run 5-10 p.m.). Start the party early! The food vendors and the beer (and wine) garden open at 4 p.m. This year we are featuring Silver City Brewery. Bring your own chairs and enjoy the night.
Sometimes authentic country music artists do not grow up in what we would consider hotbeds of country music. Sometimes they grow up in Haslev, Denmark, the native town of current Seattle resident, Jessica Lynne, a sensational and rising country star and one of London Tone Music’s most successful artists. She explains how it all started: “When I was 12, I was home with the flu and our TV provider had a “chance channel” available for a limited time. Well, this time it was CMT and being at home with nothing to do and feeling really horrible, I just kind of left it on that channel and little by little just fell in love with the genre.” Faith Hill’s, Wild One, a song that was #1 at the time, inspired her immediately. “I felt like she was singing about me,” she remembers. “It touched my heart in a way that I had never felt before.”
8:00 pm Massy Ferguson
You know only good things can come from a band that named itself after a farm-equipment company. But Seattle's Massy Ferguson is not as hayseed as you'd expect. Their songs are steeped in the classic Americana of the Uncle Tupelo, the Jayhawks, and the Backsliders. Rich with imagery of highways, truck-stop coffee, whiskey, road-weariness, and bad motels, Massy Ferguson make cinematic roots music about the blue-collar aspects of our nation.

6 pm Ben Union
Union is a deliberate songwriter, his sonic libation adhering to the highest standards of a reckless night. His lyrics don’t sleep and his rhythms are driving stolen wheels on a suspended license downhill toward a cliff. There are unmistakable flavors of R&B and Soul, hints of Reggae and Funk, and a splash of low-end beats poured over a light serving of Rock for refreshment. At the end of the night, you don’t care what’s in it; You know it tastes good and does its job every time. Ben is that time you drank all that champagne and rum punch and never got the hangover you most certainly deserved.
In the white collar world of entertainment, Ben Union is a blue collar man who looks better in a suit than the guy whose name is on the tag and wears it like he doesn’t even care. His lyrics and melodies carry the familiar traces and notes of all the dues a man should pay, tearing up the clubs from the back of a van and paying his bills by the sweat of his brow, earning him the calluses, scars and aches of life that few men know in their youth. His songs are a story that every person can relate to; Whether pointing out the lies you tell yourself or bringing you to tears with a heart wrenching ballad of love lost, Union is a refreshing voice of truth in a culture of feigned honesty. His music is like a 5 o’clock shadow on a pretty face that’s not there for the sake of fashion, but because it’s a cold world out there and a working man has no time to primp at dawn. Truth is rough, but sets you free. Ben Union has been liberated.

6 pm Ethan Tucker Band
Ethan Tucker’s trademark sound of acoustic roots and layered electric guitars combined with an unmistakable soulful and bluesy vocal, is a recipe which has garnered attention from some of his most popular contemporaries, as well as bonafide legends.
Born in Olympia, Washington, Ethan has traveled the country with Jimmy Cliff, Buddy Guy, and The Wailers as well as national support slots with musical peers Slightly Stoopid, G-Love, and Michael Franti.
With Ethan’s newest release Misunderstood, now out on Stoopid Records (2015) his enthusiasm for collaboration is seamlessly exemplified on his 11-song album produced by Michael Franti and Mario Caldato Jr., (Beastie Boys, Jack Johnson, G Love), and includes special guests Money Mark, Norwood Fisher (Fishbone) and Thomas Pridgeon (Mars Volta).
Ethan’s career took off after impressing Michael Franti with an impromptu backstage jam in Spearhead’s dressing room long before ever playing a show together. Ethan was summoned by Franti to come to his studio in San Francisco, CA to record what would later become some of the more infectious tracks on Misunderstood. From there, a bond between the two artists was solidified. The first single “Crazy Tonight” was arranged, recorded, produced at Franti’s studio, also features him on guest vocals. This track, coupled with the reggae-pop hybrid “Cool Kids” (also produced by Franti) opens a new album that is a cohesive coming of age for an artist in Ethan’s shoes – except “ET” as some fans call him, doesn’t wear shoes!!
