Evolving Trends in Healthcare and How this is Changing

Healthcare is rapidly changing. It is being influenced by technological changes as well as pressures to control costs while improving quality and outcome of care. Medical care has already been profoundly impacted by these trends. This presentation will discuss how these trends apply to mental-health care and what transformations to expect in the coming years and how to benefit from them.
Appreciate and utilize new technologies to incorporate into their practices.
List ways to utilize evidence-based strategies to document the quality and effectiveness of their treatment
Identify trends that are transforming health care and show evidence of learning how to benefit from them.
Paul Keith is on the faculty of SDPC, and a graduate of its adult, child, and adolescent training programs in psychoanalysis. He has over 30 years of experience as a reviewer for various managed health companies and as medical director of an acute inpatient psychiatric hospital for children and adolescents, and of an adolescent psychiatric residential treatment facility. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, completed his adult and child psychiatry residency at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute, and then, following two years of service in the Navy, opened his private practice in San Diego in 1975. He recently retired as the West Region Medical Director for Wellpoint Behavioral Health.
