Valuing Everyone in the Workplace Including Different Generations
Date/Time
11/29/2016
9:30 AM - 3:30 PM Eastern
Event Description
In 2016 we find ourselves working with individuals from multiple generations, cultures and backgrounds, each with their own ideas about customer service, communication, and overall work satisfaction. This combination of work and communications styles can cause individuals to collide in the workplace.  However, talking about real issues and tackling the truths and myths we experience every day will allow us to to better understand the various needs/wants of each employee and customer as well as ourselves. Participants will be encouraged and empowered to ask questions and look at the world through a new prism of appreciation for differences.  During this training you will be happy to know we want you to embrace your differences and use them to create a better/stronger you, which results in a better/stronger library!

This program will enable you to:
  • Better understand the workplace needs, expectations and motivators of your colleagues from diverse backgrounds and different generations
  • Value the unique contributions and talents possessed by each individual
  • Tailor communications to meet generational expectations
