Quarterly Membership Event, featuring the 2018 STR Forecasting Luncheon
Event Education/Training Event
Lodging and tourism professionals and industry suppliers are invited to join the OH&LA Board of Directors for a Quarterly Membership Event to discuss industry issues and formulate association activities via Committee Meetings.
These discussions will be followed by the STR 2018 Forecasting Luncheon, in partnership with STR and presented by Chris Crenshaw, and conclude with the quarterly OH&LA Board of Directors meeting.
All owners, managers, or associates in budgeting, sales or revenue management should plan on attending this important event.

10:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.: Member Services Committee Meeting
The Member Services Committee is responsible for recruiting and retaining Association members, as well as the strategies associated with those responsibilities including evaluating member value-added programs. This committee is also responsible for planning member activities such as the OH&LA Lodging Summit and Vendor Expo, advising properties on preparation for the Stars of the Industry Awards, educational opportunities for members, and other miscellaneous fundraising and event activities when deemed necessary. Allied Members are especially encouraged to attend this committee meeting to help formulate ideas for the Vendor Expo. Only OH&LA members may vote on committee business.
10:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.: Governmental Affairs Committee Meeting
The Government Affairs Committee is responsible for keeping abreast of proposed or existing legislation that will affect the hospitality industry either locally or nationally. This committee works with the Association Lobbyist and President/CEO in notifying OH&LA members of the status of pending legislation. The committee is also responsible for soliciting personal contributions from to distribute to pro-business political candidates. The ORA PAC is the OH&LA’s State PAC and focuses on state/local political action initiatives. HOTELPAC is the AH&LA’s federal PAC and focuses on national political action initiatives. Members who donate to either PAC must do so with personal funds as dictated by law. Only OH&LA members may vote on committee business.

Although members and guests are invited to attend the board meeting, they are not eligible to vote on board matters, or bring additional business from the floor.

Buy 50/50 Raffle tickets and support the Oklahoma Chapter of Women in Lodging as they raise scholarship funds to send one lucky member, along with the Oklahoma delegation, to the 2018 Legislative Action Summit in Washington, D.C. Each ticket purchased provides one chance during a cash drawing at the end of the session. If your ticket is pulled you'll win 50% of the total dollars raised for the session. The other 50% supports the LAS scholarship fund. Tickets will also be sold onsite.

Chris Crenshaw is Vice President of Digital Data Solution for STR (STR, Inc.). STR provides clients from multiple market sectors with premium, global data benchmarking, analytics and marketplace insights. Founded in 1985, STR maintains a presence in 14 countries with a corporate North American headquarters in Hendersonville, Tennessee, and an international headquarters in London, England.
In his role, Mr. Crenshaw is responsible for new product development and strategic integration for STR. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the table with over fifteen years of revenue related hospitality experience.
Prior to joining STR, Mr. Crenshaw served as Vice President of Market Intelligence for Loews Hotels and held several senior revenue related positions with Marriott International. He received his bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University and an associate degree from the Culinary Institute of America. Mr. Crenshaw has received numerous awards and accolades from Loews and Marriott and most recently was named 2010 Revenue Management Professional of the Year for South Florida by HSMAI. He is a Certified Revenue Management Executive (CRME) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
