The world of payments is constantly evolving and has experienced fragmentation with competing standards, technologies, and processes.  Despite that we expect to see greater growth in digital payments, devices and products that make lives more convenient while at the same time making lives more complicated.

Traditional banking is changing with the technologies but with those changes comes opportunity for new participants in the market maximizing the use of those new technologies.  The key features of these developments will include ease of use, user authenticity, pricing, maintaining of a secure platform, speed of payment and reliability.  Examples of this entering the market are alias based payments and digital wallets.

As the world of payments move forward the expectation is that banks and technology companies will cooperate to bring these new tools to consumers, organizations, and companies.
