The Accidental Tech Trainer-
Many library staff find themselves in positions of teaching technology either due to staff training needs or patron requests. At some point, many of us will need to teach others how to use technology. So how do we best train others even when we ourselves are still learning and the technology landscape keeps changing so rapidly? This workshop will show you methods of teaching technology to a vast spectrum of learners, from the tech-savvy to those who are shy around technology, and resources for you to keep up on the latest technology and teach yourself. You will learn not only how to train but how to make the user comfortable and enthusiastic too!
My Library’s Experience with Crowdfunding and TV Whitespace
Hear from John Gavan from the Delta County Library in Colorado and how he got his library involved in crowdfunding through a Kickstarter campaign to get his community free and full access WiFi all over the city!
Tesla as an Emerging Tech
Learn about the fully electric, very emerging vehicle and its newest features and benefits from a Tesla Enthusiast. You will not only be able to learn about this great car, but there will be one available at the Symposium to check out!
