Accepting cash can create complex challenges that companies need to solve – from everyday controls and security, to optimal processes for the physical deposit of the cash.  According to the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco1, cash is still king with 40% of consumer transactions consisting of cash and perhaps surprisingly, the highest percentage of consumers using cash are millennials between 18-24 years of age. For the foreseeable future, it seems that cash will remain a predominant payment type.

Please join the NWAFP for a panel discussion led by the treasury team at Starbucks responsible for retail store banking and managing courier operations for company-owned stores across the United States and Canada. The panelists will discuss the history of the courier solution at Starbucks, including the daunting task of implementing courier in over 7,000 company-owned stores. They will share their thoughts on cash, courier management and best practices they’ve developed, as well as their efforts to improve cash management in the future.
