We tried for earlier dates in September , but everything was booked. California Antelope Valley BTW Trikers Chapter
is setting up a Road Trip Ride . All BTW members are welcome to join us.
We will meet on the 9th of October in Flagstaff Az. Lodging at Motel 8 198 Lucky Lane, 928-773-4888. Price $75. Camper’s tent or tent trailers, Black Bart’s RV Park, 2760 east Butler Ave, Flagstaff AZ 9287741912 Price $30 to $35. We will meet in the evening for dinner at Cracker Barrel Restaurant on Lucky Lane, next to Super 8 Motel. Time TBD. Saturday morning we will be taking Highway 89 & 89 alt to Kanab, then onto Highway 12 to Bryce Canyon. We will get there early enough to see the canyon before checking in at Circle D Motel & Café in Escalante Saturday night 475 W. Main St. Escalante Ut. Phone 435-826-4297. Price $82. Campers will stay at 435 W. Main at Escalante RV Park. The Campground is next to the motel. Phone 888-241-8725 Price $30 to $35. Sunday we will continue to Highway 12 to Hwy 24 to Interstate 70, then crossover to 131 to Moab, on the way we will go thru Arches National Part, then to the Redstone Inn Motel in Moab Ut. Phone435-259-3500, price $107-$114. Campers will stay at Canyon Lands RV Resort and Campground 555 S Main, Moab 435-259-6848. Some sites will accommodate two or three tents. Price $30 to $35. The campground is next to the motel. We sill have dinner at the Sunset Grill, a historic site. Monday we will continue on 191to Hwy 46 then turn on 62 to Ridgeway. Then back on 550 thru Ouray, stop in Silverton to look around and eat lunch at Grumpys, the museum is a must see. Continue on 550 to Durango, spend the night at Spanish Trails Inn, Phone 970-247-4173. Price $72. Campers, United Campground of Durango. 11322 Animas View Dr. Durango Co. 9702473853. Price $30-$35. We will have Dinner downtown Durango at Francisco’s Restaurant & Cantina. Tuesday we will go to Hwy 160 to Mesa Verde National Park. See the Indian ruins and have lunch in the park. They have the best Indian Jewelry at the best prices; it will take a few hours to see everything in the park. Then to Cortez staying at the Econo Lodge 800-391-5807, price $83. Campers will stay at the Cortez mesa Verde KOA, 27432 Hwy 160 Cortez Co 800-562-3901. Price $30to $35. The campgrounds all have tent sites.
There will be no fees, the only rules are, we ride as a group, must be a member of BTW, and sign a waiver of liability, this is an at will ride. Everyone is responsible for themselves. Passengers do not have to be a member. Please make your own reservations at the motels and campgrounds. Do so early as they fill up fast. No cars, two wheelers ok if member of BTW. The total miles of the ride are 1,250; this is a fantastic ride and a chance to make friends that last a lifetime.
