If you are a leader in your library, many people are looking up to you as a role model, expecting you to set the standard for innovation and optimism. You, on the other hand, may be struggling with the day-to-day difficulties of dealing with customers, staff and personnel issues, and all the other things that get in the way.

Participants will:

  • Define and apply mindfulness concepts to daily tasks and workflow
  • Practice thought and breathing exercises to help with difficult situations, including employee coaching
  • Explore the role of mindfulness in strategic planning
Competency: Organizational Leadership
Sub-Category: Leads and empowers employees to deliver effective, high-quality library service
