Chatham Ewing will present Cleveland Public Library's new Cleveland Digital Public Library. Much of the equipment in the facility was obtained with OPLIN and LSTA funds; CPL matched and exceeded the state funding with a year long renovation of an underutilized space in Main Library.

He will discuss the thinking that went into planning the facility, the concept behind its design, and how patrons, local organizations, and other libraries can use it. The session will include hands-on practice time and discussions of equipment led by ClevDPL staff.

Learning objectives for attendees include:
  1. Developing understanding of equipment selection for digitization
  2. Developing appreciation of processes and challenges of digitization facility requirements, including discussion of design, planning, and execution.
  3. Hands on direct experience with display and digitization equipment
