Event Description
2015 was a unique year in which AH&LA and the National Restaurant Association teamed up for maximum impact on issues affecting the hospitality industry. This partnership was an incredible opportunity for our industries to come together in front of lawmakers, over three days in Washington, DC, and demonstrate the strength and prowess of the hospitality industry.

AH&LA’s Legislative Action Summit serves the dual purpose of keeping hoteliers abreast of the constantly shifting legislative arena, while also ensuring the lodging industry maintains a strong voice in Washington D.C. As constituents, hoteliers make a profound impression on lawmakers, and these visits help shape policy that directly affects business.

As a member of OH&LA, you are already committed to engaging elected officials and better educating policy makers on industry issues. Your voice in the process is essential to preventing costly and unnecessary legislation that may harm the lodging industry and the greater business community.

Join with us and other OH&LA members as a part of the Oklahoma delegation attending the conference and representing the hospitality industry to Oklahoma's Senate and Congressional leadership. No other conference offers the same level of access, insight, and influence. Issues will be determined in advance of our arrival by AH&LA.

OH&LA and the Oklahoma Restaurant Association have secured a limited number of rooms at the Embassy Suites for $289/night (1/8 of a mile from the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center), which is the most affordable of the three options provided as conference hotels. If you would like to reserve one of the Embassy rooms in our block, please contact Patti Colley directly with your arrival/departure and credit card information as soon as possible.

As the event grows closer, the OH&LA/ORA staff will schedule the Oklahoma delegation Hill appointments, as well as at least one dinner for our group - most likely the evening after our day on the Hill. All details will be communicated to you in advance of the conference.  Below is the AH&LA schedule as it stands currently. You should register for the conference directly through the AH&LA, and you need your AH&LA membership number to do so.
