Phyllis Vokey Long, MFT, Co-Director New Day Women’s Cente
Phyllis has a passion for ministering to the hearts of women through God’s revelation and healing power to encourage a deep and intimate walk with Christ resulting in living the abundant life that He intended. With a personal history of brokenness and healing, sorrow and joy, Phyllis can identify with the growing pains, challenges and victories faced in the lives of women. She holds fast to the promise found in Romans 8:28: And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
Wife to Frank, mother to four and grandmother of four and counting, Phyllis has applied her life experiences toward her role as Marriage and Family Therapist and Itinerate Speaker. She has her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel Theological Seminary, and B.A. in Human Development from Christian Heritage College. Phyllis is the Co-Director and Co-Founder of New Day Women’s Center, has a thriving practice in La Mesa, California and joyfully serves as a leader and teacher for Women’s Ministries at Foothills Christian Church in El Cajon.
Rebecca Garcia, CCLC, Co-Director New Day Women’s Center
Rebecca’s heart and passion is to inspire women to discover their God-given gifts and talents. She partners with them to determine their vision, set goals and help them implement their objectives using her unique set of skills, spiritual direction and resources. Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, she challenges, encourages, strategizes and brainstorms, leading women on an exciting journey to realize their dreams and attain their goals. She motivates them to break through past hindrances—taking them on a journey of self-discovery that is life changing.
Rebecca lives in beautiful Southern California with her husband, 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Rebecca’s life journey and proven leadership skills have equipped her as she serves and encourages women through coaching, consulting and speaking. She earned her Christian Life Coaching Certification from Professional Christian Coaching & Counseling Academy and has spent over 25 years in management and administration. In addition to her coaching and consulting practice, Rebecca is also the Co-Founder and Co-Director of New Day Women’s Center in La Mesa, California.
At the beautiful home of Joyce Dentt, includes a day of inspiration and relaxation in the garden with friends, a delicious breakfast and lunch, and a few surprises at every turn!
