Ken is Chief Spiritual Officer of The Ken Blanchard Companies, an international management training and consulting firm that he and his wife, Dr. Marjorie Blanchard, founded in 1979 in San Diego, California. He is also a trustee emeritus of the Board of Trustees at Cornell University. Ken is cofounder of The Center for FaithWalk Leadership, which is dedicated to helping leaders walk their talk in the marketplace.
The National Speakers Association awarded him its highest honor, the “Council of Peers Award of Excellence.” He was inducted into the Human Resource Development Hall of Fame by Training Magazine and Lakewood Conferences, and he received the Golden Gavel Award from Toastmasters International. In 2004, Ken was awarded with the Thought Leadership Award for continued support of work-related learning and performance by ISA — The Association of Learning Providers.
Ken has co-authored many books, including, but not limited to: The One Minute Manager, Raving Fans, Gung Ho!, High Five!, Self Leadership and the One Minute Manager, Leadership by the Book, and Lead Like Jesus, and Leading at a Higher Level.
Ken Blanchard received his bachelor's and doctoral degrees from Cornell University, and his master’s from Colgate University.
Margie Blanchard, Ph.D.

As Co-Founder of The Ken Blanchard Companies, she works diligently to develop the company into one of the premier management consulting and training companies in the world. Margie now heads the firm's unique Office of the Future - a think tank charged with shaping the future of both the training industry and the company.
Margie served as president of the company from 1987-1997, leading its rapid growth and success. She coauthored The One Minute Manager Balances Work and Life and Working Well: Managing for Health and High Performance.
Margie received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Cornell University and her doctorate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
