| Details: | We will meet at the Okemos Park and Ride at 8:00 AM on Saturday, July 10th and head south to Mansfield, OH. When we arrive on Saturday we will follow along “The Shawshank Trail” where we will be able to explore up to 13 sites where the movie was filmed (including the Oak Tree). On Sunday we will have the option to go on 1 – 3 specific tours of the Ohio State Reformatory (also scene filming sites of “Tango and Cash”, “Harry and Walter go to New York” and “Air Force One”). Each tour at the reformatory is $8.00, some of the sites along “The Shawshank Trail” also include admission (but we can pick and choose what we would like a closer look at).
Several costs will be determined by the number of people that attend. We can either carpool or see about renting a van (depending on attendance). The cost of gas would be shared along with hotel rooms. Depending on the hotel chosen, the cost will be around $125 per room w/4 people per room.
Deadline for registration will be May 31st.
