| Details: | The Lansing Jaycees have 10 sites reserved for the Annual Camping Trip, which will be at Silver Lake State Park from July 15 - 18. The cost is $40 / person and includes all meals, camp sites, and common supplies (paper plates and plastic ware, garbage bags, cooking utensils, fire wood, etc.). Please provide your own tent / camper and gear, beverages and other snacks, and any games / entertainment you think the group would enjoy. You may send a check (Lansing Jaycees, PO Box 16150, Lansing, MI 48901), submit payment to Carrie May, or contact Carrie (carriemmay@aol.com) if you prefer to pay via PayPal. After July 1, an email will be sent to campers with additional details and to see if the group is interested in any planned activities.
Sites are reserved for Thursday - Sunday. If you would like to come up on Friday, please indicate that in your response. If you are bringing a camper, please indicate that as well so that we may assign sites accordingly. Each site may have up to four people assigned.
The Annual Camping Trip is a great way to get to know some of your fellow Jaycees even better. There are always great stories and fun experiences, and we hope you choose to join in the fun!
Silver Lake State Park is an almost 3,000-acre park in Oceana County along the Lake Michigan shoreline. This area includes both dune country and acres of mature forest. The dune ridges and valleys are mostly windblown sand and lack trees, scrub brush and dune grass. The dune area is sometimes compared to a desert. Silver Lake State Park contains more than four miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and boasts a large sandy beach.
